Eat, Pray, Love. Since the movie of this lovely book ($8) is hitting theaters on Friday I thought I would share! A nice story about author Elizabeth Gilbert’s journey of discovery as she sends a year between Italy, Mumbai and Bali.

Medium Raw by Anthony Bourdain. The newest book ($15) from chef/author Anthony Bourdain has arrived! I am a big fan of his writing. Since Kitchen Confidential, published ten years ago, when Bourdain first alerted us to the idiosyncrasies and perils of eating out he has transformed from chef to international globe trotter in search of good food. Medium Raw explores the changes from his bad boy chef days to the present with plenty of rants and stories along the way. Great father’s day gifts for those foodie dads.

Thrify Chic. In case you are looking to jazz up your home a little bit over the summer, but hate the thought of the cost, I give you Thrifty Chic. This book details how to reuse and restore, revive and revamp, and recycle and reclaim, in order to create a stylish yet individual home without spending a small fortune.

Galloway’s Book on Running. After a week of being on Galloway’s marathon training method of walk/run, I am sold. I was originally pretty skeptical that this walking early on in long runs could make you faster (I do a run 3 minutes and walk 1) but it totally works! And my muscles don’t get tired so I can run longer. A great book ($13) for those who are looking to start running or training for a race. (hat tip Catherine)
